Strawberries -A Love Haiku

A layer of snow
Pink Ripening strawberries
Sleeping next to you

I wake up to me
I wake up with you
I wake up to me and you

There is bright sunshine
Pink ripening strawberries
I wake up to me

I wake up to me
I wake up with you
I wake up to me and you

On a rock terrace
Red ripening strawberries
Summertime waters

On a rock terrace
Ready to eat strawberries
I wake up to sunlight

I wake up to me
I wake up with you
I wake up to me and you

I wake up with you
I wake up to me and you
Our eyes like sunshine

Transition

Transition...
From a ballerina changing positions...
transitioning into the next position..
life is movement anyway you look at it.
My change...
my transition..
is always happening.
The doorbell rings...
interruptions...
life...
a child birth..
moving to another state...
going to art school for the first time...
divorce.
My life is always moving...
the people around me are always moving.
My boyfriend breaks up with me a second time.
Always change...
some change familiar yet still different.
My emotions swell up in major transitions..
loosing a job...
and in those times of big change...
I feel the most release when I can be creative...
with my five senses.
By this I mean focus on the moment.
The movement in my body..dance.
The smell of perfume..with that moment.
Playing the piano with that moment...
not because I play but because I feel it.
Lately I have been crying alot...
because I feel the expansiveness of life...
because it is beautiful.
Change...
movement from one position to the next.
Transition...

Strawberry

A long time ago in a dream I was walking on plush green foliage and brushed my hand over the plushness to see one strawberry.  There is a story in the Toa of Daily Life that says the present IS what it IS all about.  The strawberry is symbolic of the present in the story. Walking, hiking as a child I used to find and eat wild  strawberries.  Red is my favorite color.  It makes me feel full...it has alot of desire.  Magenta is a color that helps me stay present in the moment...in the moment eating a strawberry.  In the moment...listening to the sound of birds and animals and in the moment with music.  In the moment with my children. Sometimes I have a hard time staying present. I space out alot and sometimes I forget where I put things...in the moment.  So I want to stay in the moment with the moment and find a peaceful flow to stay with the moments.  Moments...and memory. I seem to remember fragments of my life.  This back and forth...most of the time...is poetry.  Other times the moment can be...the moment...
